DOUBLE TROUBLE
I first made a 'topsy-turvy' doll when my daughter was small. It was fun.
Now, they are still fun but seem to carry within them a deeper message.
About the various facets of our 'self':
happy or sad,
gregarious or withdrawn,
proper or punk
frazzled or placid
And about the paradox that is the human condition:
pain and joy
life and death
consolation and desolation
hope and despair
conflict and resolution
And about our ability to effect change within ourselves.
When we effect these changes, we help to change all those around us ... a ripple effect.
These dolls are based on a pattern by Pamela Hastings in her book,
"Dollmaking as a Transformative Process."
They are for sale at $NZ25 plus postage and packaging.
