HEARTFELT HALLELUJAH:
REFLECTIONS ON THE SEASON OF EASTER
Easter is sometimes forgotten as a season.
The Triduum is rich in prayer, liturgy, silence and celebration.
Seder meals and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament are often held on Holy Thursday.
On Good Friday we often see a public Way of the Cross, and enjoy Hot Cross buns.
Easter Vigil is rich in symbolism, story, light and welcome.
On Easter Sunday, chocolate reigns supreme.
But then what?
Pope John Paul 11 introduced the Stations of the Light:
meditations on the weeks after the resurrection of Christ.
The scriptural references follow below.
