durable, polyvalent, invitational, a love letter, a family history.
Somehow, it can become too familiar, old-fashioned, irrelevant.
Our holy books cease to be life-giving; soul-stirring, consciousness-raising.
So how do we transform these love letters into our context?
Through prayer, reflection, lectio divina, mindfulness, creativity.
I have explored Genesis through textile art;
the Emmaus story, and the story of the loaves and fishes, through photography and bookmaking;
beloved New testament stories through textile art;
the Passion through textile prayer cards.
May you find your way to fall in love again with holy books.
