I read an article about young New Zealanders living and working in a very poor community in Kenya. One of the things that struck them was the generosity of people who have little or no material possessions, education and healthcare. These 'poorest of the poor' emanated a wonderful generosity of spirit, a profound gratitude for life. Everywhere, the young people heard, "Karibu sana."
May our eyes and our hearts recognise all that is done for us today and
let us receive it aloud with gratitude.
