Visitors ask "Where do you get your inspiration?"
There is no easy answer.
It could be from the 'collective sub-conscious' (CG Jung would be pleased!)
as in the Graffiti Dolls and ancient rock drawings.

Inspiration may come from years of salivating over the Old Masters in art books and galleries,
as in the 'Rubenesque' Euphrosyne and Blue Belles.

Sometimes inspiration comes from the desire to record my life ...
its ups and downs; joy and pain; highs and lows
Sometimes it comes from the need to transform a negative emotion into a positive feeling,
as in the Dammit Dolls, and Oh Cliché.

Inspiration can come when I give myself permission to play ... unedited, free ... without an inner critic,
as in The Rainbow Connection and Inner Child
Sometimes I respond to a powerful experience,
such as the movie, Calendar Girls, or a live performance by Cirque de Soleil, or Dust Palace.
I suppose my inspiration is a life lived consciously, attentively, meditatively.
My dolls are my journal - pages of my life.
