ANIMAL ANTICS
Over the years,
I have been given some interesting animal print fabrics,
together with old scarves and ties.
Together, they hinted at a series of animal-themed dolls.
Two dolls are made from a scarf that belonged to my mother.
Another utilises an Italian silk tie.
While these dolls have obvious animal charateristics, they retain a human form.
They are anthromorphic.
All invite us to look at ourselves;
at our phobias;
at our relationship with the animal world;
and at our relationship with each other.
Each doll is $NZ80 plus postage and packaging.
