HEARTFELT SEASON:
REFLECTING ON THE SEASON OF LENT
There are seasons in our lives:
the four seasons of winter, spring, summer and autumn;
the seasons of our life: childhood, adolescence, adulthood and senior;
liturgical seasons of Lent, Easter, Ordinary Time, Advent and Christmas;
incidental seasons of employment and unemployment;
of health and ill-health;
of aloneness and togetherness;
of community and isolation;
of questions and of answers;
of departing and arriving;
of quiet and of noise;
and many, many more.
At various times, I choose to acknowledge or particiapte in these seasons through ritual, word, movement, or creativity.
