OH CLICHE

Life sometimes feel like a cliche:
        over-used
        repetitive
        predictable
        lacking flair.

This can be exaggerated by:
        depression
                                                 fatigue
                                                 anxiety
                                                 a loss of hope.
                                          But even though cliches are all too familiar, over-used,
                                          this very fact means that when we use them to express how we feel,
                                          others immediately recognise the emotion and empathsise:
                                                 stories are shared
                                                 wisdom offered
                                                remedies recommended
                                                relationship established.
                                           Our humanity and our common unity are dignified.

Somedays my life feels as flat as a pancake ... oh cliche!
Soedays I am all knotted up ... oh cliche!
Somedays are such bad hair days ... oh cliche!

But today is like no other day  ...
today is the first day of the rest of my life ... oh cliche!
