HEARTFELT DOLLS WILLING TO LEAVE HOME
CALENDAR GIRL
I began making dolls as a therapy;
a hobby;
a way to entertain my children. We have puppets and paper dolls and dolls made from their out-grown clothing.
These are our treasured keepsakes.
I never intended to sell the dolls. It simply did not occur to me that others may enjoy or appreciate their company. But in 2012, my daughter and I had a stand at "Art in the Park", an annual al fresco arts and crafts day in Rotorua. And, much to my amazement, then and now, people delighted in the dolls. They reminisced. They cuddled. They laughed. They shared stories. They listened to the dolls' story. There was a connection.
So, some of the dolls are poised to leave home, and become a part of your family.
Each of these dolls still has a story to share but they are ready for a change.
They are not perfect because the dolls were not created primarily to sell.
But they are unique and embody a life's journey.
They are available for sale.
ps ... I think that if everyone picked up a needle, or a crayon, or a chisel, or a trowel, or a bowl, or a pen, or a ball of yarn, or indeed, just about anything one can imagine, and created to their heart's desire, the world would be a happier, healthier place.
Still, if it is your heart's desire to purchase a doll, then that is groovy!
