UMBRELLA AND UMBRAGE
It is really easy, scary really, to take personal umbrage at events and circumstances that affect us
but are totally out of our control.
Like the weather ... or traffic jams ... or cancellations.
"How dare this happen to me?", we rant.
Well, actually it is not happening to me ... it is simply happening.
So when the strong blustery wind decimated the umbrella of a friend,
we did not take umbrage and rage against the world.
We made a trio of dolls from the remains!
but are totally out of our control.
