COSY UP WITH A BIT OF SKIRT
This series of dolls marries my love of tea cosies and my love of dolls.
They were inspired in part by a pattern in Rosemary McLeod's latest book,
With Bold Needle and Thread: Adventures in Vintage Needlecraft .
In it, Rosemary takes a 1935 pattern for a schoolhouse tea cosy and adapts it for contemporary use.
I have used only second-hand materials.
By second-hand, I also include donated materials, found objects, re-purposed or recycled objects, left-over textiles and remnants from past projects ...
really anything that found its way to my place and which I did not purchase new.
The cosy will fit a teapot with a capacity of 3-4 cups.
The 'skirt' measures 25cm across and 18cm high.
The full height of the cosy is approximately 30cm.
