For a long while, during the divorce process, I felt like a chattel.
It felt that every detail of my married life was scoured, evaluated, discarded or filed.
While the professionals I worked alongside to resolve all the legal and custodial details were approachable, personable and compassionate, there were issues that had to be dealt with, disposed of, settled.
We used professional, neutral language to remove the emotion-laden dross.
For this, I will always be very appreciative.
I worked very hard to reduce the negative impact of what felt like violation, even assault at times.
It is sometimes difficult to set aside such powerful feelings
but I needed to regain, reclaim a balance to my life,
and a positive outlook, reflecting a grateful heart.
So I made these 'Classifieds'.
They are plain calico, wrapped inside cellophane bags.
The dolls are the embodiment of personal advertisements.
