Pierre Moreau was born in 1893,
the elder of twin sons born to Prudence and Claude Moreau.
In 1899, Claude Moreau abandoned his family
and returned to France.
The family moved in with their cousins, the Fitzgerald's.
Pierre was a serious, hard-working young man.
Good with figures, honest and diligent,
he worked as a bookkeeper in his cousin Dougal's chandlery.
In 1903, he met and married Chantelle Martin,
the daughter of French, middle class government officials.
They had 5 children:
Pierre b. 1905
Louis b. 1907
Therese b. 1909
Odette b. 1911
Jean Baptiste b. 1913

For reflection ...
Pierre had a job which to many appears dull or boring.
Am I grateful for all those who do mundane jobs which enable me to live well?
