For several years,
I have entertained the idea of participating in the 100 days project.
For one reason or another, it never happened.
This year, I was determined and prepared.
But there was a road block -
a registration fee.
I have no discretionary income so I did not register.
Cue Plan B.
I still wanted to do it.
I have set goals for myself before -
The Prayer Flag Project
Inner Child
The Rainbow Connection
Poetry To Lift Your Spirits.
So I will do it again -
as a fringe dweller.
Quite appropriate I think.
I dwell on the fringes -
living below the poverty level,
desperately seeking meaningful paid employment,
desiring a spiritual home that nurtures and honours and reveals LOVE.
I set VERY LOOSE parameters!
One creative act related to the project each day.
Hopefully, the creation of a simple doll form each day.
Start with a pattern
but open to inspiration, interpretation, deviation or abandonment!
I am not going to be pedantic or fretful about achieving this goal.
I will creatively contribute to this project every day for 100 days -
selection and preparation of materials,
drafting of patterns,
selection and creation of embellishments and accessories,
preparation of tools, and
research for, and creation of a story line.
Such a 100 day project is a collaboration
with inspiration,
with Father Time, making best use of his gift,
with my talents and giftings,
with my commitments and obligations, and
with the raw materials available to me.
(I am not going to purchase anything unless I cannot sew without it, e.g. machine needles)
