He was the 3rd child of Florence and Jean Brennan.
He left home at 14,
restless, seeking adventure.
He travelled to the Northern Territory,
finding odd jobs on sheep stations, and
working as a roustabout in a shearing gang.
Wilberforce loved being with the Australian Aboriginal people.
He was entranced with their story, their conservation ethic,
their connection to the land.
He met and married Alinga about the turn of the century.
They had 4 children:
Bindi b. 1901
Jedda b. 1902
Mia b. 1904
Dural b. 1906
Wilberforce travelled light,
leaving a very small footprint on this earth.
How big is my footprint?
