Dr James Williams in "The Varieties of Religious Experience", wrote,
"No man who ever lived
liked so many things and
disliked so few as Walt Whitman.
All natural objects seemed to have a charm for him.
All sights and sounds seemed to please him."
There are an infinite number of sights and sounds
abilities and talents,
ideas and philosophies,
not just in the natural world but in our human, created world,
to which we should give homage,
in which we should delight.
Let's take heart, notice and appreciate the giftedness around us.
