By blindly accepting a set of dogmas or doctrines.
By becoming a creature of habit.
By failing to see possibility.
By conforming ourselves to the expectations of others.
A desire for comfort, perhaps.
A need for control?
In fear of rejection?
A need to be accepted by a community.
Norman Vincent Peale suggests,
"Become a possibilitarian.
No matter how dark things seem to be
or actually are,
raise your sights and see possibilities -
always see them,
for they're always there."
Let us bless ourselves with the gift of possibility.
