a consolation.

The world often continues to allow evil
because it isn't angry enough."

"Each day, I will introduce a Heartfelt doll which has not been seen on this website before. I believe strongly, passionately, in doll-making as a process which transforms the human heart; entertains; challenges human beliefs; informs the human mind; heals the broken spirit; transitions the human from one state of being to another; chronicles our human story." Well, 365 days and 365 dolls later, I have fulfilled the creative challenge I set myself. I have set goals; managed my time; pushed my design ability; argued in frustration with my equipment; foraged and fossicked amongst my treasures. I have come to realise and confirm that doll-making is an art form; can heal; is a wonderful medium for story-telling; a transformative process. Dolls are for me soul companions; chroniclers; a conduit for transformation; a mirror to reflect my inner world and a hammer to shape it; FUN!!! :-) Thank you for sharing my journey. |
