Alzbet is an aspect of myself - a little 'Selfie'.
She is seeking to become an integrated person. Only when our thinking brain and our human heart work together in harmony can we achieve our true potential. The jester often points to the truth. Alzbet is an interpretation of a doll designed by elinor peace bailey. Liddy is a snapshot of my self - a 'Selfie'.
She is playing the game of life - moving, thinking, relating, loving, dying. Isabella is a 'Selfie' - a miniature snapshot of myself.
She is becoming - still growing into the fullness of being that she was created to be. She is in a constant state of flux and change. Elisa is a 'Selfie' - an aspect of my own self ... or is it?
Elisa reflects the hedonist that dwells within - seeking pleasure and happiness for its own end. But where do we find happiness? What brings true pleasure? Lisbeth is a self portrait - a 'Selfie'.
What pattern(s) do I use in my life? Am I adaptable or do I follow the rules? How important is it to have firm guidelines and markers in life? What adjustments do I make as I journey through life? Can I design my own pattern? Bethan is a 'Selfie' - a doll representing an aspect of myself, a snapshot in time.
She is like a paper doll - a plaything, disposable. But also, everyday there are new opportunities and different choices. Liseta is one of a short series exploring my self-image.

She is a mermaid - a matron of enchantment. Issa captures the moments when I let my heart and my passion overrule my analytical mind. In our age, when conformity, conservatism and over-thinking can be soul-numbing, it is revitalising to experience the inexplicable. |
