 STARRE Starre is the sixth Blue Belle, living life, loving life. She longs to chase stars, and moonbeams, and dandelions caught on the wind. Instead she chases the dog who has run away, children who are slow to rise, and a push to climb the corporate ladder.

 YOGI Yogi is the fifth Blue Belle, living life, loving life. She loves to play on her balance ball. No doubt she also balances the books; balances work and family and leisure; provides a balanced meal seven nights a week.  ESTEL SURROUNDED BY EUPHROSYNE, GODDESSES OF JOY Estel is the fourth of the Blue Belles, living life, loving life. She loves to fly kites. No doubt she would like to be a high flyer; to fly out of the house without forgetting anything; to fly through a Warrant of Fitness without needing car repairs; to fly through life without a care in the world.  BERTHE Berthe is the third of the Blue Belles, living life, loving life. She is chasing butterflies. No doubt she is also chasing pipe dreams; chasing the plumber and the drycleaner; chasing a recipe to use a glut of courgettes; and chasing an interrupted night's sleep.  BERTHE MORISOT, CHASING BUTTERFLIES, 1874  LOTTIE Lottie is the second of the Blue Belles, living life, loving life. Here she juggles balls. No doubt she also juggles family commitments, work commitments, elderly parents, volunteer groups, extra-mural study ...  SERCAS Sercas is the first of the Blue Belles, living life, loving life. She enjoys spinning the hula hoops. No doubt she also spins a great yarn; spins out a meal for one to feed an army; spins out a day to last 48 hours; spins a fleece to create a masterpiece. |
