a gift, yet to be unwrapped.

Introducing ... Evangeline, yet another enraged woman on a black and white dog writing wrongs11/9/2014 Evangeline is my third interpretation of a pattern by elinor peace bailey.
Who are the women in our lives who have righted wrongs, challenged the status quo, remedied inequalities and injustices? How do we honour these women? Ailsa is one of a series called 'Selfies', exploring how I see myself. Ailsa expresses my delight - for the gift and generosity of life, at the exuberance and wonders of nature, for the preciousness of relationship, in the intimacy and solace of silence. Helsa is one of a series called 'Selfies'.
She is the storyteller - the part of me that holds the stories; that shares the stories, that adds to the story, and passes it on. Helsa is an interpretation of a pattern by Pamela Hastings. Elyzabeth is one of the 'Selfies' In this series I am exploring my self-image - who do I think I am? Elyzabeth is the critic - of myself. Her criticism is relentless, ruthless, destructive. Elyzabeth is an interpretation of a pattern by elinor peace bailey. Biff is one of a series of self-portraits called 'Selfies'. Biff is OTT - always trying a little too hard, never quite getting it quite right. Here are some of my 'Selfies' on my dream coat -
a snapshot of the landscape of my life. Babette is one of a series called 'Selfies'. She is a nurturer - of the soul, of the spirit, of the body. Babette is an interpretation of a doll designed by elinor peace bailey. Lise is one of a series of folls exploring 'Selfies'. Each doll reflects an aspect of myself. Lise is emergent - moving from one stage of life to another. Liana is one of a series of small dolls called 'Selfies'. She is my caregiver - bringing solace and comfort and nourishment; tending to my need for self-care. Isabel is part of a series called 'Selfies' She holds my heart songs and my heart's desire. Isabel is an interpretation of a pattern designed by Heather Gailey. |
